My Bernette is the brand new line of sewing machines launched by Bernina this year. Truly modern design and conviniant user interface are top priorities in this series. As usual Bernina supported high quality and durability.

The new Bernina my Bernette line presents 5 models of sewing machines:

Conclusion: Bernina Bernette 10 is a perfect basic model for beginners or for ocasional sewers. It is a durable and high quality sewing machine with basic utility stitches and features.

Bernina Bernette 12 and 15 differ only in stitch patterns (21 and 28), buttonhole sewing (Bernette 12 - 4-step and Bernette 15 - automatic 1-step buttonhole sewing) and darning option (Bernette 12 has darning plate and Bernette 15 equiped with drop feed dog lever). Other features are the same. Both models are more advanced then Bernette 10 mainly because of two convinient features: semi-automatic needle threader and infinetly variable stitch width; and because of the greater choice of stitch patterns.

In my opinion both Bernette 12 and 15 are sutable for tailors and quilters. Wich one is better for you - 12 or 15 - isn't a hard question. Just think about how important for you automatic buttonhole, drop feed dog feature and extra 7 decorative stitches? If it doesn't matter or you never use them - Bernette 12 is your sewing machine. If the opposite - Bernette 15 is for you.
